Maintenance & Care
See how gravity filtration makes clean drinking water easier to prepare at camp with the Katadyn BeFree Gravity system.

The Katadyn BeFree Gravity system uses elevation instead of pumping. Fill the reservoir with untreated water, hang or raise it above the collection point and let gravity move the water through the filter. This reduces setup effort and makes the system useful for groups at camp.
The hollow fiber EZ-Clean Membrane is designed to reduce bacteria, protozoa and microplastics. The integrated activated carbon stage improves taste and reduces odors. The catalog lists a flow rate of up to 2 liters per minute, depending on water quality and the product configuration.
A smaller reservoir can be easier to carry for short trips, while a larger system can reduce the number of refills for a group. Choose the capacity that matches the number of people, the length of the stay and the available water source.
Cleaning and storage
Use the cleaning method specified for the model and remove visible debris before packing the system away. Let components dry as required by the instructions, store them without sharp bends and inspect the membrane and connections before the next trip.
